From April 14th to April 30th, buy a golden ticket to support community health & local restaurants! The goal is to raise $10,000 to support the ARCH programs, including our HIV, PrEP, and trans clinic, our support services for individuals living with HIV, and our community harm reduction program.

When you buy a golden ticket:

• You donate money to ARCH

• Receive a gift card for a partnering restaurant

• Get entered for a Taste for Life Draw!

How to participate?

• When you donate $40, you’ll get a $10 gift card for a partnering restaurant

• When you donate $100, you’ll get a $30 gift card for a partnering restaurant

• Every donation helps! For every $10 you donate, you’ll be entered in the TFL draw! Win great prizes!

This group has created a local currency so that the contributors’ investment can be returned directly to participating businesses. This currency will be available in paper or digital form through the Wyse Wallet app.

Vancity, LOCO BC, and business organizations throughout the Lower Mainland are launching a program to promote the purchase of gift cards from local businesses in partnership with Support Local BC.

The site launched initially with businesses from the Greater Victoria region and has currently sold more than $22,000 in gift cards for 172 businesses. With this partnership with Vancity and LOCO BC, the platform is expanding to include businesses through Metro Vancouver and in Squamish, and is expected to connect consumers to hundreds of local businesses. To join the platforms, businesses can sign up at no cost. The sign up process takes about two minutes to fill out the form and businesses will be added to the site quickly. Gift cards are available for purchase in $10, $25, $50 and $100 denominations.

This is real-life representation of the Riverside BIA Directory, a colour-coded live map which indicates in real time what level businesses are operating at. The colour codes are the same for the map and signs. Green indicates a business that’s open but may have reduced hours and offerings, yellow means a business is open online or via phone only, and red means the business is closed for now.
