Boyle Street Community Services — an Edmonton-based service organization — has linked their annual giving campaign to local business support

The goal of the 2021 Community Sustainability campaign is to reciprocate local giving; this time, offering a helping hand to the Edmonton-based businesses that have supported the community. By committing to becoming a monthly donor for Boyle Street Community Services, donors will also be supporting a local business of their choice. Donors will be sent a gift card equal to the value of the first month’s donation to the local business of choice

We Are Santa Fe Safe is helping local businesses to be COVID-safe through an easy to use program toolkit, step-by-step infographic, COVID-safe cheat sheet (and additional resources list), employee survey, marketing and PR tips, and social media assets

It’s a program any business can benefit from no matter where the are in their COVID-reopening journey. The strategy focuses on employees as advocacy champions because when employees feel able to come back to work safely, their positive attitude will inspire customers to return. Business owners and managers must make good on that promise and commit to an appropriate action plan that keeps their workplace safe. Employees are given an option to play a big role in our initiative, too. Through simple how-to’s Employees are invited to record a 10-20 second video about the steps their workplace has taken to protect them, which the program will share on social media channels to help promote the business.

Les résidents du Québec sont encouragés à acheter un produit ou un service à partir d’une start-up québécoise, afin de soutenir l’économie de la province lors de la pandémie COVID-19. L’objectif de l’événement est de compenser les pertes de financement et les ventes auxquelles font face certaines startups. Les organisateurs de l’événement ont compilé une liste de jeunes startups dans la province comme une ressource pour les personnes qui cherchent à participer. L’objectif de l’événement est d’élargir la sensibilisation des québécois aux produits et services fabriqués par la province, afin de compenser la perte de financement et de vente de certaines des entreprises en démarrage.
